Amber was adopted in Houston from her owner who had a full time job & no time for her pets! I adopted her for my mother, who had recently lost her beloved husky to old age. Amber will be 8 yrs old in June 2024, very smart & sweet but needs some obedience training on a leash. My mom decided to move to an assisted living home in December 2023, so Amber has continued to live at my mom’s home with her 2 cats but no human interaction. My sister feeds her everyday but cannot adopt her. Amber has a very nice, sheltered porch & dog house but no family . I have occasionally taken her to assisted living to visit the residents & my mom , but because of my mom’s dementia, she doesn’t interact much & has not established the bond she had with her other husky. Amber needs a home with people who will love her & help her get adequate exercise! I would consider waiving the minimal adoption fee if someone wants to give her a good home & that is an issue.
