Tahini was recently described by his foster family "as the sweetest puppy in the entire world." Tahini is a true example of the resiliency of dogs. He was rescued from a rough situation where he lived with other puppies and adult dogs at a truck stop in TN and had very little human interaction before coming to ALIVE. Through the love and patience of his foster parents and foster canine siblings, Tahini is learning to trust others and that the world can be a pretty great place if you have the right people in your corner! Tahini depends on other dogs and *must* be adopted by a family with at least one other dog. Tahini loves to play, so a playful canine sibling is even better! With a consistent schedule, Tahini slays house training and thrives on a routine. He even sleeps in his crate at night and doesn't have accidents. Despite his rough start, in many ways, Tahini is your typical pup, and he is looking for a forever home that will continue his training and has the time and patience to welcome a new puppy into their lives. Tahini loves playing with toys and doesn't have high standards (one of his favorite toys is cardboard). Since Tahini didn't have human interaction as a puppy, he wasn't used to getting pets and snuggles at first. His foster family has worked with him to get him used to being touched, and Tahini now enjoys scratches, pets, and snuggles. Tahini's foster family sets him up for success by giving him verbal cues that they will touch him and ensuring that touch is always consensual (hooray for consent!). Tahini is looking for a forever home that will continue to work with him in this way so that he always thinks positively of human interaction. Tahini is genuinely a special pup!
